Please answer all sections of this application form carefully. Please note that all questions marked with ‘ * ’ are compulsory and must be filled in. As you complete this application you may wish to take notes of anything that you feel needs further clarification. On receipt of the application a member of the HFS London team will then call you to discuss your application in detail. We will require at least 20-25 minutes of your time to do so.

Have you been a Host Family previously? *  

To be eligible to become an HFS London Host Family, you will need to be able to answer ‘Yes’ to ALL of the below. If you are unable to, please feel free to call us on 020 3069 2048 to discuss further.

I am prepared to provide a clean, warm, welcoming, “home away from home” experience to my student *  

I will engage, interact and support my student, treating them as one of the family and not as a paying guest *  

The spare room is in my own home *  

English is the main language spoken at home *  

I live within walking distance to a zone 1-4 tube/rail station in London *  

I am happy for the student to share all communal living areas i.e. the lounge *  

I am happy to provide students over 18 years old with a front door key *  

I am happy to allow my student to have one wash load of clothes once weekly *  

I am happy with the short term nature of Homestay (average 4-6 weeks stays) *  

I am happy with the potentially ‘from time to time’ nature of Homestay *  

I understand that hosting students will not provide the regular and substantial secondary income that a long term lodger would. *
